Hotel La Residencia

The building that houses the Hotel La Residencia was constructed in 1904 and  was the site for Fonda MIRAMAR, the old meeting point and the place to while away the small hours for the famous patrons of Cadaqués from the world of art, sciences, literature and philosophy.

When Picasso first arrived in Cadaqués, he spent the night here in 1910. Following that, it was known as the Hotel Cap de Creus and became the Hotel La Residencia in 1992.

This eclectic hotel is full of art and classical furniture, and is a great place to stay if you want to soak up a surrealist atmosphere that has been part and parcel of the Cadaqués scene for many generations. There´s a beautiful stained-glass roof above the staircase that was painted by Isidoro Bea, Dali’s assistant for more than 45 years and the views from the sea-front rooms are stunning.

All rooms come with bath, hair dryer, satellite TV & video, heating, air conditioning, telephone, mini-bar  etc.
The hotel has a laundry, car- park, art gallery, bar/ & cafeteria, fax, e-mail and Internet.

Pets are welcome.
